Take a minute to ask any female fan and she will tell you that there are a bunch of pretty dreamy dudes making country music these days.

At the top of most lists these days is Blake Shelton. I resent this a little bit for a couple of reasons. 1) A lot of the fangirliness is a result of The Voice and how awesome Blake is on the show. 2) He’s married to Miranda Lambert and I’ve had a crush on her since Kerosene came out.

However, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that he is a witty, handsome, talented jerk who deserves all of the success that comes to him. Including his recent win at the 2o12 ACM’s for Male Vocalist of the Year.

Here he is being dreamy.

If I were going to recommend a “bad boy” for you all I think it would have to be Jason Aldean.

Now, I don’t really think he’s that bad ass. He sings some pretty sweet songs and some of those “I lost love” songs that country music is famous for. He does have a rough side though and that seems to be what attracts the girls. Maybe it’s the beat up hat or the ripped jeans or the rapping and a track that features Luda… I don’t know. But it’s working for him and I predict that he will win that Male Vocalist of the Year award more than once before his career is over.

The next guy isn’t a solo artist but instead a bearded band leader who rocks his acoustic guitar and sings about women, booze, beaches, peaches, Georgia and covers Charlie Daniels and Rage Against The Machine in concert. Zac Brown is awesome!

I want to see him live. I even facebook statused that fact.

He should be an honorary Canadian since he has that bushy beard and always has a wool toque on. He’s the kind of guy that half the girls want to party with and the other half want to cuddle with.

Bastard.

Next on the list is Luke Bryan.

Dude is young, good looking, funny and hella country.

He looks good in a meshback instead of just a cowboy hat. He wears regular old blue jeans, and looks like he knows how to party.

He may be opening for Jason Aldean right now but it’s not going to be long before he hits the road and headlines some pretty big venues. Watch for it.

Note: He’s got an adorable 3 year old son named Bo.
