The Women Of The Walking Dead!

And then there were 5… as we get ready for season 3 of The Walking Dead on AMC there are 5 women who look to have central roles still to play in the series. 1 is new, 1 is finding a more prominent role, and 1 seems to always be in the background… and the other 2 I kind of have crushes on.

Meet them!

Carol: Always in the background… even when her daughter was missing and the group’s mission was to find her Carol wasn’t all over the screen. In fact, it was harder to find a photo of Carol than anyone else on this list. And that includes a character that has done nothing more than show up at the end of an episode! I don’t expect much from Carol this season. She might even die. We’ll see I guess.

Michonne: What do I know about Michonne? Not much. I know that she’s pretty mean. She’s got a huge sword and 2 pet walkers on leashes. She’s also got Andrea now which could be good, or bad. Maybe she’ll be able to help Andrea focus her energy. Or maybe she’ll take advantage of her and the fact that she was left behind and turn her against the original group when that meeting inevitably takes place.

Andrea: She could be really, really angry. Things really didn’t go as planned at the farm when season 2 ended and Andrea was left out in the woods, alone, fighting off walkers and trying to stay alive. And then Michonne showed up with her walker pets… this is going to be an interesting season for Andrea. Will she be a slave, a pet, a partner or something else?

Maggie: Young, scared, tough, determined, in love… Maggie has a lot to live for as the group moves to the prison and takes on the new challenges that will come with season 3 of The Walking Dead. I think we’re going to see her trying to hold on to love and hope while also finding the switch that makes her deadly and a valuable member of the group in whatever role they need her to fit into.

Lori: Lori has some interesting things to deal with in the new season of The Walking Dead. Now that Rick has proclaimed “Get one thing straight. You’re staying? This isn’t a democracy anymore.” it seems like we’re in for some changes. And Lori will have a choice to make. Does she follow the directions of her husband no matter how removed he may be from himself, or does she try to talk to him quietly and guide him… Lori may be the only one with an influence left on Rick.

The season is only about 6 weeks away… which feels like forever right now, but it will come faster than I’m expecting I’m sure. And as we get ready and talk and wait for more photos to show up on the AMC blog I have a question for you – can’t wait to see your votes!
