Demi Louise Single Release: Taxi Driver
Nearly a year ago we were introduced to a young Australian singer-songwriter at Canadian Music Week when she stepped on stage at The Cameron House. That Saturday night in May we were immediately smitten with the Aussie as she owned the stage all by herself.
In her acoustic set Demi premiered a brand new song (written during CMW 2015 at the APRA Songhub) called Taxi Driver. It was fresh and new and it was clear then that it was a fit with the rest of the folk/roots/pop sound that she was presenting in her music.
And now, ¾ of a year later Demi Louise is getting ready to release the finished version of Taxi Driver to the world as her 1st single of 2016.
Thanks to a little preview stream, we can tell you that it’s a track with a sweet, poppy sound that is easy to listen to on repeat (trust us) or as part of your next playlist.
And thanks to another little private preview we can tell you there’s a fun video to go with the new single.
The single will be available for download on Friday, February 26 – but is available for pre-order now right here.
If you want to learn more about Demi, or hear her cover tracks like Love Yourself, Can’t Feel My Face, and Bad Blood + originals like Ruins and Realise, just pull up her YouTube channel and start hitting play.
And if you’re in Toronto this May for CMW 2016 keep your eye out for Demi, because we hear she’s coming back…
