2018 CCMA Award Nominations Announced
The 2018 Canadian Country Music Association Awards nominations have been announced with a mix of CCMA veterans and new-comers up for honours at the September 9 award show in Hamilton, ON.
Jess Moskaluke (three-time Female Artist of the Year) and Brett Kissel (2017 Male Artist of the Year) lead the way with six nominations each this year, followed closely behind by Meghan Patrick (2017 Female Artist of the Year) who has five nominations of her own.
We would also be remiss not to mention how exciting it is to see the representation of fantastic female talent in this year’s nominations. Shania and Jess Moskaluke are up for the Apple Music Fans’ Choice Award. Jess, Lindsay Ell, and Meghan Patrick are nominated for Album of the Year. Jessica Mitchell, Lindi Ortega, and The Lovelocks are all nominated for Roots Artist or Group of the Year. It’s encouraging and awesome!

The nominees for the CCMA is very cool to look at. They all deserve a win. They all make amazing tunes and are so genuine and sweet to their fans. I am happy to say I am a part of this Country Family. To be a far of these amazing artist just makes my heart smile. This would be a hard job to say which artist deserves the award cause I think they all deserve them for making us smile. Always and Forever. Would of loved to see a few more that did not make the list who are just incredible too. River Town Saints, Dani Strong, Marshall Dane, Tebey, Andrew Hyatt. So many are just as amazing and I love them all. thanks for the tunes
