Metric Gets Set for 2019 US Tour with Zoé and July Talk

Metric, one of Canada’s premiere acts over the last 20 years, is headed south for a US tour in 2019, and they’re bringing Zoé and July Talk along for the ride!

Emily Haines and company are no strangers to playing in the United States, so it makes perfect sense that they’ve booked a 27-show run through February and March next year. And with their new album, Art Of Doubt currently catching the ears of fans and music lovers, they’ve got a great reason to hit the road.

Mexican rockers, and Latin Grammy winners, Zoé will play 21 of the dates on the tour, bringing their own 20+ years of Britpop/Seattle-grunge inspired rock and roll to the stage. Described as Alt-Rock, neo-psychedelia, psychedelic rock, and space rock, this Mexico City band will be the direct lead-in to Metric most nights, and we know they’ll be looking to get the crowd fired up for the headliners.

With their own 2018 album, Aztlán, Zoé will doubt be excited to share new music with American crowds from Massachusetts to California to Illinois.

Opening on the tour is one of our favourite acts on the Canadian music scene today, July Talk!

Leah, Peter, John, Ian, and Danny make great music as July Talk, and when they hit any stage to play live, they own it. We’ve had the chance to see small, intimate shows, and big stage blowouts, and no matter where we’ve been, they’ve turned heads.

When they announced that they were going on this US tour with Metric, they also made it known that they’d been in the studio for months. And while we don’t know when the music from those studio sessions will be released, we know we can’t wait to hear it.

Metric are no strangers to US stages and crowds. They’ve toured the states before and have played big stages like Coachella. Experience like that can help lead to comfort. And comfort is always a good thing when going into a tour.

We know that fans all over the country are in for a treat when July Talk, Zoé and Metric take the stage in 2019. From start to finish audiences are going to have great music pumping through the speakers, they’ll have good vibes flowing all around them, and they’ll have a night they won’t want to end.
