Carly Pearce at Boots and Hearts 2019

Carly Pearce came north to Boots and Hearts and took over the Main Stage on Sunday and with a combination of sweet, sassy, and songs, she left her mark.

The Every Little Thing singer played in the hot afternoon sun, standing above the crowd on the lifted stage and showing them all why she’s one to watch as we prepare to move into a new decade of country music. With a voice that is as smooth as it is captivating, Carly has spent the last two years introducing herself to country fans on radio, streaming, and by touring. On Sunday, she got to introduce herself to Boots and Hearts, telling the crowd that her friends had told her about the festival and she was excited to be there and part of it in 2019.

Carly Pearce played through a set that was heavy on tracks from her debut album, giving fans a chance to sing and dance to the songs they’ve been listening to since its release in October 2017. It was great to see the fans responding to the tracks and having a good time on day four of the festival.

The Kentucky born and raised star added in covers of Shania and Garth to go with her own songs. And as a tease of what’s coming next, Carly played My Heart’s Going Out Of Its Mind which will be featured on her next album. That little taste already has us looking forward to the release. Based on the reaction in the crowd on Sunday afternoon, we aren’t the only ones.

The end of the show gave us back-to-back favourites with her very first number-one hit, Every Little Thing and Top 20 single and fun sing-along song Hide The Wine. Throughout the set, from start to finish, Carly Pearce shared some sassy and silly looks. She shared stories of perseverance. But most of all, she shared her songs and talent and energy with the audience at Boots and Hearts.

Their cheers and enthusiasm told us (and her) that they were happy she made it to play for them. And we feel confident when we say that there are a lot of Canadian country fans that can’t wait to see her come back again.
