Rich Cloke, You’re The One Q&A

Q. How does it feel to have You’re The One out to radio and in fans ears?

Rich. I’m very excited to have my latest single, You’re The One out! It’s been a few years since I released new music and feels great to finally give fans something new. Having spent some time in a period of self-discovery, I’m giving radio and fans a song that best represents me as an artist. It’s upbeat, fun, clever, and energetic. Sonically speaking, it’s what you can expect from me on future releases.

Q. You’ve got a new album coming in 2020, with You’re The One and more to share, what can you tell us about it?

Rich. Oh yeah! The new record is coming in early 2020. I’ve spent the last few years writing in Canada and in Nashville and have put together a catalogue of music. We’ve selected a handful of songs that encapsulates who I am as an artist and I’m ready to share more of my story with the world! You can expect a variety of songs and emotions on the record that are inspired from a variety of styles and influences.

Q. You’ve had a lot of experience playing live for country fans. What’s in the plans for future shows with your new music?

Rich. The live show is one of the best parts of being an artist in my opinion. It’s exciting because you’re performing music in an environment where anything can happen. It’s a chance to connect with an audience and try to help them forget about the stress of the day to day. We’re starting to line up shows for 2020. This summer, I’ll be opening for one of Canada’s largest country acts; I’m excited to announce the details soon.

Q. In your info section it says you enjoy breakfast food, so we want to know what your #1 breakfast is!

Rich. It’s the best!! Why would anyone eat anything other than breakfast food? My go to breakfast meal is scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns.

5 Quick Questions with Rich Cloke

Q1. If you were on a long drive down the highway and you could only put one album on to listen to, what album would you choose?

Rich. Don’t get me wrong… I love my country music but nothing compares to my rock records. I’d have Lateralus by Tool. Big fan of this record.

Q2. If you could share the stage with any artist, who would be at the top of your list?

Rich. Kenny Chesney. I’ve seen Kenny a few times now and that guy knows how to put on a show! He delivers a high energy show from start to finish which is what I love. It’s the style of show that you can expect from me. I think we would create a great collaboration.

Kenny Chesney, Cavendish Beach 2016 pc. Patrick Callbeck

Q3. What is one thing fans don’t know about you and can’t learn from Google?

Rich. I love to cook and I’m surprisingly good at it. Chicken Parmesan is my specialty.

Q4. Do you have a dream venue at the top of your career to do list?

Rich. I was born and raised in Hamilton, ON so the First Ontario Centre (formally Copps Coliseum) would be amazing! A hometown crowd arena show.

Q5. If there an artist you love that you think people should be paying more attention to?

Rich. I’m a big fan of undiscovered music and artists. I’m lucky enough to collaborate with several. One artist/songwriter that I think is about to break is Dustin Herring. I encourage everyone to check him out.
