The excitement surrounding the release of Gaslighter by Dixie Chicks is growing. We’re getting caught up in it. We can’t wait for it. This is very, very exciting!

We’ve had the tease of the title track, Gaslighter, we’ve been given a release date of March 4, 2020 – which we think is for the single, but could be for the full album? And more importantly, we’ve had 14 years of waiting for new music from Dixie Chicks.

Here’s what I know, I want to hear the full song and the entire album right now. I don’t want to wait. I don’t want to be patient. I just want/need/crave the feeling that Natalie and Emily and Martie give me with their music.

Here’s another thing I know… there are a lot of amazing songs in the Dixie Chicks’ library already, and I’ve been in love with some of them for more than 20 years now. So, to get myself (and you) ready for Gaslighter and the rest of dcx2020 I’ve put together a Dixie Chicks Top 25 list that has massive #1 singles, non-charting favourites, covers, and more.

The Top 5 has been locked in for a while now. I found a Facebook post from June 18, 2013, with my personal 5 favourite DC songs, and I’m sticking with them here. But, the other 20 songs are coming at you in chronological order from newest to oldest. And I know you’re thinking, Dixie Chicks haven’t released an album since 2006… trust me there’s still some newer stuff in there.

Note: There are six songs on the list with a #1 beside the title because they hit the top of the charts. As you’re scrolling, ask yourself how many more of these songs could have gone to the top!
