Max Parker, Something About You & 5 Quick Questions

At just 18 years old, Max Parker is making his mark in pop music. The Toronto-native burst onto the scene in 2018 with his debut single Out Of The Blue, and he’s at it again in 2020 with Something About You!

In less than two weeks since the single dropped, Max has racked up 55,000+ combined spins on Spotify and YouTube for Something About You. And that number is growing daily. That number has also brought the combined number of spins on his top three songs to more than a quarter of a million plays.

When asked about the song, Max said, “Something About You is my new release and this one is about who you choose to hang out with and why. I’ve had to figure that out and ask myself ‘Why am I hanging out with this person if they just keep making things negative?’ It’s that dance and push and pull of relationships that are inevitable. With what we are going through right now in the world, relationships are ultimately what matter most.”

Max recorded the song with John Nathaniel (One Republic, Marie Mai, Switchfoot) and released it independently in an act of entrepreneurship to match his artistry. It’s a bop that is perfect for a dance around the room and as a sing-along jam. And most of all, it’s a lot of fun and we’re into it.

And if you’re into it – Max Parker has a ton of content available on YouTube with previous originals Out Of The Blue, Time Machine, and I’m All Yours AND a ton of covers including like Tattoos Together (Lauv), Nice To Meet Ya (Niall Horan), Circles (Post Malone), Ain’t Easy (Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine) and more.

Indie Week called him 2019’s Best Newcomer, listeners keep finding his music and hitting play, and it’s not hyperbole to say Max Parker’s career is still in front of him.
