WayHome 2016 VIP Preview Party at The Drake Hotel!
There’s no doubt that VIP is the good life.
On Tuesday night at the Drake Hotel on Queen Street West in Toronto we hit the WayHome VIP Preview party and got a small taste of some of the awesome things that are waiting for ticket holders this summer at Burl’s Creek.
The Drake did an excellent job hosting the event – with cocktails (tasty and refreshing) and food: Pork Tacos, Korean Fried Chicken, Salmon Fried Rice (yummy) available to sample and enjoy + djs upstairs and on the main floor, massages available for VIPs who’d been at work all day, and a really great vibe all night long.
At 10ish we got a live solo performance from River Tiber (who promised to bring the full band with him to WayHome this July) and the crowd gathered around the stage at the front of the room and swayed and danced and grooved along with the music. We caught some of it on Facebook Live, you can check that out a little further down in this post!
We know from being at WayHome last year that the VIP is worth the upgrade. The space is gorgeous, with the famous barn providing refuge from the sun – and a bar. The Drake does an awesome job with food options. And hell, even the porta potties are closer to the action and the lines are much shorter. And if you happen to forget your sunscreen or need a little bug spray, they had that available too.
