WayHome was packed with music on four stages all day long, all weekend long. And while we soaked in the sun at Burl’s Creek we also soaked in the tunes!
Check out some of our favourite pics of Metric, Mothers, and Bahamas – and stay tuned because there are photos of more bands coming!
Metric hit the main stage on Friday afternoon and helped to really get the whole festival going. The CanCon quartet drew the largest crowd at the WayHome stage to that point in the day.
Throughout the set you could see the fans singing and swaying and dancing – and most importantly we were reminded that Emily Haines is cool… 100% cool!
So @Metric is on fire… and there’s a cape!!! #livemusic @wayhomefestival pic.twitter.com/KpRl50HBzM

Saturday afternoon, tucked in at the WayAway stage, Mothers appeared and gave a bunch of people exactly what they were looking for.
A chilled out vibe washed over the combination standing/sitting audience as people grooved and moved and listened to the sounds. It’s a long way from Athens, GA to WayHome (1006 miles), but we sure are glad they made the trip.
Also on Saturday, Bahamas hit the WayBright stage and entertained a crowd of their own. The indie feeling tunes drew WayHomies in, and their smooth voices and solid guitar kept them at the stage.
Here’s hoping we see them again soon.
