Metric Live at The Funhouse [Toronto Residency]
Metric have announced a month-long residency at Toronto’s The Funhouse.
The Funhouse weekly residency commences on November 7, with additional dates on November 14, 21 and 28. With such an extensive catalogue, you might be wondering what they’ll be playing. Fans will curate the setlists.
In addition, each night of music will be pressed into an extremely limited-edition vinyl as a memento of the show which will be shipped to each member of the audience. Regular ticket/vinyl packages are already sold out but, there are still Funhouse Recording Event Deluxe Ticket Packages which include a Meet & Greet + early access to the venue.
Doors are at 7:30 pm (early admittance starts at 6:30 pm), and Metric starts at 9:00 pm. There will be no admission after 8:30 pm, so make sure you arrive early!
The Funhouse is an immersive art maze and events venue brought to life by an incredible team of local artists from across Toronto. The experience took over a year and a half and about 100 people to build. Metric concert guests are encouraged to arrive early to explore the different multi-sensory environments inside the Funhouse art maze before the show begins in the Underwater Ballroom (included in ticket price).
Prior to the Metric acoustic concerts, The Funhouse will be featuring “A Haunted Experience” from October 9 – November 2. This will be an art-forward, “art-creepy” walk-through experience. Get your tickets online or at the door (with a discount for guests in costume). – via Press Release
We’ve seen Metric on multiple occasions, on all kinds of stages, but we think this residency is going to be one fans shouldn’t miss. There’s nothing like the intimate experience. You and 199 other fans, think about it. You’ll be as up close and personal as you can imagine. And if that’s not close enough for you, grab one of the Meet and Greet packages. It’ll give you a chance to tell Emily and Jimmy just how amazing you think they are. The option to tell them how their music has impacted your life. Meet & Greets give you the opportunity to get something signed. Maybe you can even get that elusive selfie.
