Amanda Marshall Top 10 – by the Numbers

Two and half years ago I wrote a Top 10 Amanda Marshall list using nothing more than my feelings and nostalgia to tell y’all what songs do it for me from the catalogue.

Well, now Amanda Marshall is back and so am I. This time, with numbers.

Today we’re going to look at the Top 10 songs, based on combined streaming numbers available from Spotify and YouTube. As always, we started with the ‘Popular’ list on Spotify, took down the numbers, went over to YouTube and took those numbers (from Official Music Video, Lyric Video, and Official Audio releases only). Then, we added, sorted, and voila. Here we are.

In the overall, I don’t think there are any surprises. Sadly (as always happens) some personal favourites didn’t make the list. But, the numbers don’t care about my feelings, so that’s the way it goes.

But before we get to the list – don’t miss Amanda Marshall’s new single: I Hope She Cheats

And if you want to heart from Amanda Marshall, our friend Amy from 107.5 KOOL FM caught up with her recently, and we’ve got that right here.

Now, have a scroll, hit play on the songs you remember and love, and leave a comment telling us what your favourite Amanda Marshall song is!

Amanda Marshall Top 10

10. Everybody’s Got A Story

9. Trust Me This Is Love

8. If I Didn’t Have You

7. Fall From Grace

6. Birmingham

5. I’ll Be Okay

4. Believe In You

3. Beautiful Goodbye

2. Dark Horse

1. Let It Rain

New Music Spotlight with The Dirty Nil, The Beaches, and More!

New Music from The Dirty Nil, The Beaches, MacKenzie Porter, Dan Davidson, and Kimberly Perry

The New Music Spotlight is here with a rock / country split – so get ready for it!

We’re 80% Canadian this week, plus a comeback I didn’t know was coming. Surprises are fun.

Hit play from start to bottom. Give your favourites a follow. And remember that sharing is caring – so if you really love one (or more) of these songs, tell a friend and tell them to tell a friend, and spread the joy of good tunes.

Ready? Let’s go!

Artist: The Dirty Nil
Genre: Rock
Fans Also Like: PUP, Direct Hit!, The Flatliners
Song: Celebration
Notes: The Dirty Nil have become one of our favourite Canadian rock bands. They’re loud, they’re sweaty, they’re great live, and they produce bangers. Celebration comes out of the gates with rock and roll guitars, brings in Luke’s vocals to lead the show, and gives us nearly 4 minutes of pure, unadulterated, unfiltered rock. Atta be fellas!

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: The Beaches
Genre: Rock
Fans Also Like: Dear Rouge, Said The Whale, July Talk
Song: Blame Brett
Notes: From The Beaches themselves: “Blame Brett is a song about being promiscuous after a breakup and that that is totally OKAY.” It’s a romp. It’s going to connect. It’s going to jam live this summer. It’s another gem from this Toronto band that we’ve been tracking since 2016.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: MacKenzie Porter
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: The Reklaws, Madeline Merlo, Alee
Song: Chasing Tornadoes
Notes: We’re here for a new MacKenzie Porter song every time she decides to drop one, and Chasing Tornadoes is no different. As her star gets bigger and brighter south of the border, we keep that “she’s one of us” pride and sing along as she goes. This new one gives us a chance to sing, to bop our heads and get into the groove and here’s hoping there’s more coming to go with it.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: Dan Davidson
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: Jojo Mason, Andrew Hyatt, Hunter Brothers
Song: If These Streets Could Talk
Notes: Dan Davidson has always been one of our favourites, and here he is with another track we’re all in on. It’s a one that got away song. It’s a small town return song. It’s a country song. It’s a going to be great live. And Dan Davidson continues to pop out songs that make me tap my feet from the very first listen.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: Kimberly Perry
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: The Band Perry, MacKenzie Porter, Cam
Song: If I Die Young PT 2
Notes: Kimberly Perry coming back with If I Die Young PT 2 has me shook. I didn’t know it was coming. I wasn’t ready for it. And then when I had my first listen, I almost cried. The combination of memories that the original song brings back, paired with the new spin, the more grown-up reflection on life, the whole thing, it got me. With a new EP on the way, Kimberly Perry is going to have the chance to show us what she’s feeling, what she’s been working on, what comes next. But for now, we’re taking one step back and one step forward at the same time… and I’m here for the ride.

10 Holiday Song & Drink Pairings

The Holidays are just around the corner, and that means holiday music and gatherings and relaxing time to enjoy the season. And we want to help you get yourself all set.

In the spirit of Booze and Vinyl and other music and drink pairing sets, we’ve got a list of 10 Holiday Songs and Drinks that you can put together over the festive season.

We have included non-alcoholic drinks in this list because not everything has to be about booze. If you’re hosting a holiday gathering, please remember that and provide non-alcoholic beverages – and we don’t mean mix. Put together a selection of flavoured teas, grab some cranberry ginger ale, buy the fancy hot chocolate, warm up the apple cider, and make sure everyone (young and old) is included.

The hardest part of building this list was choosing the songs. There are so many wonderful holiday tracks to listen to. Contemporary and classic. Fast and slow. Sincere and silly.

In the end, we had to choose 10. But we’d like to know what holiday songs you love most, so please leave a comment to tell us. And include links too so we can all go find ’em.

Now, onto the list. Check out the pairings, hit play to listen to the songs. And have a happy holiday season.

Hot Chocolate

Frosty The Snowman – Ella Fitzgerald

Cranberry Ginger Ale Shirley Temple

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town – Springsteen

Peppermint Tea

Silver And Gold – Burl Ives

Eric Church Top 10 – by the Numbers

Eric Church is a country music megastar. His reputation as a singer, songwriter, and performer is well-earned. He has hits on hits, fan favourites from the deep cuts, and live albums that will make you wish you were at a show, and feel like you’re at a show at the same time.

Because we’ve been following Church for years now, singing along, covering albums and concerts, and marvelling at the devotion of his fans every step of the way, we decided it was time to crunch the numbers and get to the Top 10.

Ready?

As always, we started with Spotify and the ‘Popular’ list, marked down the streaming numbers – and then we went to YouTube.

On YouTube we collected streaming numbers for official videos, but not remixes or live performances. Same as always. However, in the case of Mr. Church, the system was not perfect. Two of the entries on this list (Round Here Buzz and Mr. Misunderstood) made it on the strength of YouTube alone, as they out streamed the combined numbers of two of the entries on the Spotify list. That’s the way it goes sometimes!

After we got all of the numbers, we did the math, did the sorting, and ended up with the Top 10 list of Eric Church songs, by the streaming numbers – no opinions included!

Now that the work’s done, you can hit play on the songs you love on the list. Hit play on the ones you might not know or haven’t heard in what feels like forever. And if there’s an Eric Church song you love that isn’t on the list – 1) We’re sorry, there’s nothing we can do about that. 2) You’re not alone, trust us. 3) Please leave a comment to tell us which other Church songs you love!

Eric Church Top 10

10. Heart On Fire

9. Round Here Buzz

8. Mr. Misunderstood

7. Hell Of A View

6. Like A Wrecking Ball

5. Smoke A Little Smoke

4. Talladega

3. Record Year

2. Drink In My Hand

1. Springsteen

New Music from Gord Downie and Bob Rock, Avril Lavigne, Virginia to Vegas, Lainey Wilson, and Taylor Austin Dye

The New Music Spotlight is here with a mix of Rock, Pop, and Country in our little list.

We’ve got Canadian legends, up-and-comers, and we think you’re going to get into these songs. That’s why we’re here!

Hit play from start to bottom. Give your favourites a follow. And remember that sharing is caring – so if you really love one (or more) of these songs, tell a friend and tell them to tell a friend, and spread the joy of good tunes.

Ready? Let’s go!

Artist: Gord Downie and Bob Rock
Genre: Rock
Fans Also Like: The Tragically Hip, Hawksley Workman, Sam Roberts Band
Song: The Raven And The Red-Tailed Hawk
Notes: I’ve listened to The Raven And The Red-Tailed Hawk a half dozen times, and I’m ready for a half dozen more. It’s Gord’s voice, taking me back to a time when we still had Gord with us, telling stories and reinforcing that the only way around is through it. I’m grateful for this.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: Avril Lavigne
Genre: Pop
Fans Also Like: The Veronicas, Michelle Branch, Kelly Clarkson
Song: Mercury In Retrograde
Notes: 2022 meets the early aughts in Mercury Retrograde. This track would have fit on any of the early Avril we fell in love with, if only Mercury and retrograde as widely known as they are now. It’s fun. Avril is fun. We love fun Avril!

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: Virginia to Vegas
Genre: Pop
Fans Also Like: Tyler Shaw, Scott Helman, Elijah Woods
Song: break up with that guy.
Notes: If you’re looking for a pop track with a catchy everything, V2V is here with break up with that guy. and delivers for you. If you feel like you wanna dance a little, or groove in your chair, or start singing along before the song is over on your first play, you aren’t alone. Trust me.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: Lainey Wilson
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: Hailey Whitters, Caylee Hammack, Ashley McBride
Song: Smell Like Smoke
Notes: Lainey Wilson is red hot, and Smell Like Smoke is just another one for us to fall in love with while she puts her stamp on country music. It’s a little bit rock, all kinds of country, a little touch of Dolly, and 100% Lainey. It’s Bell Bottom Country, if you weren’t aware – and you’re going to hear a lot more of it. Turn it up!

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: Taylor Austin Dye
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: Ashland Craft, Mae Estes, Callie Cash
Song: Damage Control
Notes: 15 seconds into Damage Control, Taylor Austin Dye had memories of Miranda and Gun Powder & Lead, and I’m into that. The track is in your face, at your throat, and makes me want more. I want to hear this live, in a small sweaty club, with Taylor looking out on the crowd and singing to the back of the room with force and conviction. I can already hear it and feel it.

Jack Armstrong Releases Hellooo & Happy Holidays Album for Charity

Toronto Raptors legend Jack Armstrong just released my favourite holiday album of 2022, and it’s not even close. Hellooo & Happy Holidays is 41 minutes of Christmas joy. It’s songs and skits and jokes and it makes me smile. AND it’s all for a good cause.

Since 1998, Armstrong has been in the lives of Toronto Raptors fans. His enthusiasm has always been infectious. And his penchant for song has been shared on air more times than I can count. But to have an entire album for Christmas is not something I ever expected. That’s exactly what we’ve got though, via Comedy Records, and in support of the MLSE Foundation and Special Olympics Canada.

Let’s address right now that this isn’t Bing Crosby or Nat King Cole or the crooning legends of holidays past. This is Jack, singing as Jack, backed by the Comedy Records team, spreading holiday cheer – not trying to create the smoothest most perfect Christmas album you’ve ever heard.

And I think that’s part of why I love it. It’s not trying to be what it’s not. It’s 100% what it is. And with money from the album and the upcoming show in Toronto at the Danforth Music Hall on December 6 supporting worthy causes, we should all be giving a round of applause.

Tickets for the show are available HERE – CLICK FOR MORE INFO AND TO BUY YOURS NOW!

There are standout moments for me on Hellooo & Happy Holidays. Three of them stopped me in my tracks the first time I listened to the album and did it again on my second listen. In order, here they are…

Track #2 – Silver Bells

Silver Bells is a top three Christmas song. I love it. It’s special to me. It’s personal to me. And when Jack Armstrong sings it, I feel like I can sing along too, however I want, however my voice is feeling, whoever is around. We’re in this together, singing a wonderful song and I love it.

Track #8 – Yes, Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus

Jack’s reading of Francis Pharcellus Church’s famous words from 1897 is perfect. It hits me in my heart. It’s not comedy, it’s sincere and lovely and I’m glad it’s on this album.

Track #15 – T’Was The Night Before Christmas

This is just fun. Jack’s basketball version of the classic poem (along with the sounds in the back) is pure fun. It’s a storytelling moment that shows the Jack that we see on TV. Enthusiastic and funny, I can see the smile on his face through my speakers. What more could I ask for?!

An honourable mention goes to Silent Night at track #12. While I’m listening I can feel myself at church on Christmas Eve. And I can hear the congregation singing Silent Night, together, but with some voices standing out at times. Always proud, always with all of their heart, and always without a care in the world other than singing and celebrating. If you’ve ever been to Christmas Eve at a church, you may be able to picture someone you remember singing Silent Night too.

I invite you all to hit play on the album in the Spotify stream below. And if you love it like I do, or you think you know someone who would (or both) you can CLICK HERE to order the vinyl from Comedy Records.

I’m happy to have this album in my life now. I hope you are too.

Happy Holidays, everyone. Happy Holidays, Jack.

Jack Armstrong, Hellooo & Happy Holidays Tracklist

2022 Holiday Gift Guide for Music Lovers

The holidays are coming. Black Friday is coming. Shopping season is coming. And if you’ve got music lovers on your list, you’re going to need to start making some decisions and purchases so you can get the gifts wrapped and put under the tree (or in the mail) before the big day comes.

We want to help with that.

There’s a list here with some gift ideas that we hope will make all of this easier for you. Maybe the gift you didn’t know you needed to buy is right here in this post. Maybe the ideas we’ve listed will give you a lightbulb moment and you’ll come up with some other awesome idea (if you do, please tell us in a comment!). Or maybe, you’ll discover that you want to treat yourself, and that’s cool too!

Check out the 2022 Holiday Gift Guide for Music Lovers and enjoy the season.

Record Collection Accessories

If you’ve got a loved one with a record collection, your first thought might be to buy them vinyl. And that’s a good thought. But if you don’t know what they’ve got or what they need, that becomes a tricky thing to do well. Instead, how about some accessories to go with all those records?

There are a million options for Now Playing stands so your pal can showcase the record that’s playing or that they just want to show off. You can also pick them up some crates (make sure you try to match their style so they fit in the room), or some frames that can turn vinyl into art on the wall even.

Heck, you can get coasters that look like little records and come on a turntable holder. The options are out there, and they’re pretty cool.

Art

Remember back when you had posters of bands on your wall in high school and college? That was cool. Why not do something like that again? But more grown-up!

Add a frame to a cool poster that you love and you’re cooking. Find some old stickers or album art and display them neatly, and you’re getting classy. Hang up those vinyl covers in frames behind glass, look at you go!

Know a photographer that’s awesome? Buy some photo prints from them and display them proudly!

Find something cool that you’ve never seen before but looks perfect!

Help someone you love decorate their office or living room or hallway or whatever with awesome music art.

Local Music Store Gift Certificates

Shop local, baby!

If you’ve got a music store in town, see if you can get them to write you a gift certificate so your music lover can pick out that record you don’t know they need. Or that poster for their wall. Or the book they’ve been dying to add to their collection. Let them make the choice while you both support a local shop that surely would appreciate the business.

We’re all in this together.

Headphones

If you’re anything like me, you’ve got a lot of headphones. Headphones for work, headphones for music and podcasts, headphones for walks, headphones for bedtime. And if your friends and fam are like me, maybe they need a new pair!

You don’t have to break the bank to get functional and quality headphones that will get the job done. You can, but you don’t have to. Figure out what they’re looking to add to their collection or what needs replacing, and then you can start finding the right set. The options are out there.

And don’t sleep on the Bluetooth headband headphones that are super comfy for wearing to bed (or under a warm toque in the winter). Trust me!

Concert Tickets

We’re not out of the woods, but we’ve rounded the corner and concerts are back and live music lives. And that means concert tickets are back on the table as holiday gifts for the music lovers in your life.

We all know that the big tours are coming and tickets are out there (or not out there), but don’t forget about that small venue you love and the other shows that are available any night of the week. Those shows are great gifts. Those shows are great times. Those shows keep music going for the bands that dream of getting to bigger stages, and for acts that are breaking right now and have those big stages. in their sights.

Check the schedules, plan ahead, get paper tickets or print out the email version, put ’em in a card, do something cool and give the gift of live music this holiday season. Everyone wins with this one.

Happy Holidays, friends.

New Music Spotlight with Nickelback, K.Flay & MORE!

New Music from Nickelback, K.Flay, The Dirty Nil, David James, and Cheat Codes ft. MacKenzie Porter

Hello friends, it’s New Music Spotlight time!

We’ve got a list of five new songs from five acts (plus a feature) and we can’t wait for you to hear them. It’s rock and country and pop. And we hope you like it.

Same as always, we invite you to hit play on the songs one and a time and give them all a listen. If you find one you’re keying in on – leave a comment to tell us – AND then share it with a friend.

Sharing is caring.

Ready? Let’s go!

Artist: Nickelback
Genre: Rock
Fans Also Like: Seether, Daughtry, Default
Song: High Time
Notes: Nickelback’s new album, Get Rollin’ is available now and features this track – High Time. It’s got a twangy funky thing going on, with Chad’s growly rock still there like it’s always been. It’s a weed song, it’s a rock song, it’s a country song(?), it’s a Nickelback song and it fits the catalogue. Turn it up as you please.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / TikTok / Spotify / Apple

Artist: K.Flay
Genre: Pop
Fans Also Like: Phantogram, Bones UK, grandson
Song: It’s Been So Long
Notes: K.Flay is great, we’re not here to debate it. And It’s Been So Long is another one that makes me want to dance in my chair, in my kitchen, and when I’m walking down the street. What more could I ask for? Thank you, K.Flay!

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / TikTok / Spotify / Apple

Artist: The Dirty Nil
Genre: Rock
Fans Also Like: PUP, The Flatliners, White Reaper
Song: Bye Bye Big Bear
Notes: We love us from rock and roll from The Dirty Nil, and now we’ve got a new one to add to our list with Bye Bye Big Bear. While it’s not as fast and rockin’ and sweaty as the songs you might be thinking of, it’s going to fit really well in a set list to let us catch our breath before we all lose another gallon of sweat. Enjoy.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / TikTok / Spotify / Apple

Artist: David James
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: Aaron Goodvin, Wes Mack, Steven Lee Olsen
Song: Let Her Go
Notes: Canadian country boy David James is back with a new one, and we’re here for it. Let Her Go is a slow one that didn’t go where we expected it to from the title. DJ sings with his heart and feeling and all those things that make a country song, country. Atta be.

Links: Web / Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Spotify / Apple

Artist: Cheat Codes ft. MacKenzie Porter
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: Loud Luxury, Lost Kings, Starley
Song: One Night Left
Notes: Did y’all know that Cheat Codes was releasing a country record? Well now you do, and now Canadian country star (and pop crossover hit maker) MacKenzie Porter joins the party on One Night Left. It’s pop and country. It’s electronic and sweet. It’s Porter’s voice with Cheat Codes doing what they do in the background. It’s fun. And that works for me!

Boots and Hearts Announces 2023 Festival Headliners

Boots and Hearts dropped their 2023 list of headliners, bringing back some big names, Canadian favourites, and adding a little rock and roll to the mix.

From Thursday to Sunday (August 10-13) Tim Hicks, Nickelback, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw will take the stage to close out the four nights of Boots and Hearts. Three of the four will be making return trips to the festival – Nickelback will make their BH debut.

Okay, there are a lot of thoughts and feelings about this announcement, so let’s start with Nickelback.

I’m into it. There, that’s where we’ll start. Nickelback is undeniably huge. The band has sold a billion or so album and tickets. They’ve got trophy cases of awards and plaques (soon to include a Canadian Music Hall of Fame induction). AND if you’re at a cottage or a field party or whatever and the music starts with country, and the party keeps going and the fire gets a little bigger and the coolers get a little emptier – you are just as likely to hear Nickelback get added to the playlist as you are Waylon or Willie.

They are not a country band – but thousands of country fans will be singing along on Friday night. It’s a TikTok meme come to life. Hey, maybe @kallmekris will make the trip!

Anyway, there you go. It’ll be fine. Nothing is broken. Nickelback will be loud, there might be pyro, folks will party and have a little rock and roll party at the end of their country music day.

For more visual friends, here’s a look at the headliners, backwards from Sunday to Thursday.

Now, the glaring, shining, rhinestone-covered anvil hanging over this lineup of course is the lack of women in the announcement and headlining talent.

Lauren Alaina is third-billed on Saturday and all we can hope for is that a lot of women will be added to join the lineup and take the stages at Boots and Hearts 2023. We could see women closing down the Front Porch stage from Friday to Sunday and earning giant cheers before the headlining acts. That would be awesome. I’d love to see it.

They belong there. We’ve seen the cheers and reception for new artists and superstars over the years. We want more of that. I don’t think we’re alone.

Shania Twain | Maren Morris | Lindsay Ell | Jess Moskaluke | Carly Pearce | Miranda Lambert | MacKenzie Porter

This isn’t to say that any of the men headlining or in direct support spots haven’t earned their way onto this bill or stages like it. Two things can be true at the same time. It is to say that one in nine announced acts for the festival isn’t a dude (or a set of dudes). Not a great start.

Let’s start with Tim Hicks here – Boots is darn near his home away from home at this point. I’m smiling just thinking about Stronger Beer in front of the Thursday night crowd. It’s going to be lovely. Absolutely.

And then, on the weekend proper, on back-to-back nights, Keith Urban and Tim McGraw are going to be on stage. Those names, those giant names with their giant hits and giant careers are going to blow crowds away like they’ve done before. They’ll sing and be sung to. They’ll give surprises and standards and it’ll be great. Stay tuned, I’m sure we’ll have more to share about them as we get closer and more excited.

And we’d be in the wrong if we weren’t mentioning the supporting acts. Dallas Smith is a bonafide Canadian country star (with rock roots of his own, ya know). HARDY is one of Nashville’s hottest writers and performers. Riley Green continues to climb and make a name for himself. Y’all know Lauren Alaina is going to put on a show. And Josh Ross is ready to show you all that he belongs on any and all the stages he can get on. Believe that.

Tickets for Boots and Hearts 2023 go on public sale Friday, November 18 at 10 am. Camping too. VIP as well. Whatever you’re looking for, it’ll be there.

Stay tuned for more announcements, thoughts, previews, news, and who knows what else as we count down the months to Boots and Hearts 2023 at Burl’s Creek.

The Chicks Top 10 – by the Numbers

The Chicks are timeless and also era-defining. They burst onto the scene but weren’t an overnight success. They changed their name but never lost their way. The Chicks are then and now and always and anywhere there’s a wide open space or a starry sky or mattress dancing. That’s right, I said mattress dancing.

To celebrate just how much we love Emily and Martie and Natalie, we’ve gone ahead and crunched the numbers to find their Top 10 list as decided by spins. I have my favourites, you have your favourites, but when we measure by plays from everyone, things get a little more clear, or at least easier to sort.

Note: A big high five goes out to Rob Harvilla and 60 Songs That Explain The 90s for featuring Goodbye Earl and talking about some amazing women in country in the 90s on a recent episode.

As always, we started with Spotify and the ‘Popular’ list, marked down the streaming numbers – and then we went to YouTube.

On YouTube we collected streaming numbers for official videos, but not remixes or live performances. Same as always.

After we got all of the numbers (and listened to some music), we did the math, did the sorting, and ended up with the Top 10 list of The Chicks songs, by the streaming numbers – no opinions included!

Now, scroll through the list, hit play on your favourites (don’t miss #5 if you’re looking for my recommendation) and think back to all the times The Chicks made you sing or dance or smile or cry. And then, leave a comment telling us which of these songs you love best, or which songs are in your personal Top 10.

Enjoy!

2022 Calgary Stampede Preview Playlist: Lindsay Ell

When Lindsay Ell hits the Nashville North stage at the 2022 Calgary Stampede, she’ll be armed with her electric guitar, her songs, her stories, her strength, her message, and her heart on her sleeve. As always.

The Canadian country music star will shred. She’ll sing. She’ll shimmy. And she’ll entertain the hell out of the Cowtown crowd. It’s going to be fantastic.

We’ve been watching, listening, and covering Lindsay for years. We’ve had the opportunity to sit down with her in person and over Zoom. We’ve watched her on big stages at festivals and indoor clubs in Toronto. We’ve all seen her on TV in Canada and the US, and by the way (hey, by the way), she’s still on the rise.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

We’ve never been to a Lindsay Ell concert and not been entertained. We’ve never left one of her shows without that buzz that gets into your bones from great live music. Calgary, be ready for that.

And maybe be ready for a little extra guitar fun too…

Lindsay Ell is a star. She’s a seasoned entertainer. And when she leaves the Nashville North stage at the 2022 Calgary Stampede, she’ll leave everything she’s got in her right there.

Get yourself set with this Lindsay Ell preview playlist that includes 5 songs we love and want you to hear AND the Top 5 songs from Ell’s Spotify Popular list.

Listen to all of them, sing along, dance, smile, and if you’re in Calgary, don’t miss this show!

2022 Calgary Stampede Playlist Preview: Lennon Stella

Lennon Stella is a S.T.A.R.

The 22-year-old pop singer/songwriter grew up in the business, has been a television star, a touring pro, and now she’s on her way to the Big Four Roadhouse at the 2022 Calgary Stampede on Saturday, July 9.

The Ontario native has a fanbase that has followed her from Boots & Hearts to her own pop tours. She’s released stripped down ballads and dance floor bangers, and continues to evolve and grow in her artistry. Fans in Calgary should expect to get a taste of everything she brings to the table when she comes out on the stage for her headlining 10pm performance.

Lennon Stella - the Love, Me Tour in Toronto, March 19, 2019

I’ve reviewed Lennon Stella’s albums, covered her tour, and watched as she’s released new projects I didn’t see coming. She’s collabed with big names, she’s made a name for herself, and she’s made Oshawa proud.

All of that is to say that we highly recommend catching Stella’s show if you’re in the area. Trust us.

To get you ready, here’s a selection of songs from Lennon Stella’s YouTube library.

Hit play, listen, sing along, dance in your living room, and enjoy!
